Fifth of September every year is celebrated throughout
the nation to mark the birth anniversary of the most beloved teacher of our
country, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. This day is celebrated as Teachers’ Day.
The students of the Anthonian family celebrated Teachers’
Day with lots of joy and enthusiasm to pay the teachers their heartiest tribute
for their tireless efforts in inspiring students. It is said that teachers are
the backbone ofsociety. They play a great role in shaping the careers of their
students.
The entire programme was organized by the senior students
of the school. There were number of performances by the students to demonstrate
their love and respect for their teachers. The performances were presented by
both junior and senior boys.
The programme was begun with a welcome song sung by the
choir of the institution, which made everyone assembled there very proud. The
next item was a dance performance by the junior students of our school. Safwan Ahmed Aziz of Class 10A gave a speech
and came up with a PowerPoint presentation.
At the end of the programme, Headmaster Fr. Devraj Fernandes
gave an inspiring message. All the hard work was appreciated by all the teachers.
